1. Assess the current state of participatory management:

- Review current participatory management practices within the organization.

- Identify areas where employees already have a role in decision-making and where they do not yet have responsibility.

2. Define the objectives of the participatory initiative:

- Determine the specific objectives you wish to achieve by increasing employee responsibilities (e.g., improved engagement, increased efficiency, etc.).

- Establish success criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of participatory management.

3. Train managers and leaders:

- Train managers and leaders on the principles of participatory management and on techniques for involving employees in decision-making.

- Provide tools and resources to facilitate this approach.

4. Identify areas of intervention:

- Identify daily tasks and processes where employee responsibilities can be increased.

- Evaluate opportunities for employees to participate in decision-making in these areas.

5. Involve employees in defining responsibilities:

- Consult employees to understand their wishes and ideas about decision-making.

- Involve employees in defining new responsibilities and decision-making processes.

6. Establish participatory processes:

- Create mechanisms for employees to propose ideas and participate in decision-making (e.g., decision-making committees, group meetings, brainstorming sessions).

- Develop procedures to integrate employee contributions into daily decisions.

7. Increase responsibilities gradually:

- Introduce new responsibilities in stages to allow employees to adapt gradually.

- Start with less complex decisions and gradually expand responsibilities.

8. Communicate changes:

- Inform all employees of the new responsibilities and decision-making processes.

- Ensure clear communication on the expectations and benefits of this participatory approach.

9. Evaluate and adjust:

- Monitor the results of the implementation of participatory management using performance indicators and employee feedback.

- Collect feedback to adjust and improve participatory processes.

10. Recognize and celebrate successes:

- Recognize employee contributions and celebrate the successes achieved through the participatory approach.

- Use these successes as positive examples to encourage greater involvement.

11. Ensure ongoing support:

- Put in place supports and resources to help employees assume their new responsibilities.

- Offer professional development opportunities to strengthen the skills needed for decision-making.

12. Periodically reassess:

- Plan regular evaluations of participatory management to ensure that it continues to meet the objectives and needs of the organization.
